木地の表面を水で濡らしたような塗面は、文字通り「濡れ色」と呼ばれ、木の持つ艶やかさを引き立て
焼物を生業とする両親の元、4人兄弟の末っ子として生まれる。愛知県立窯業高等技術専門校（愛知県瀬戸市）で焼き物を学んだ後、日本の伝統的な焼き物を勉強するために岡山県の備前焼作家に弟子入り。そこで３年間学んだ後に、故郷の長野県にて作家活動を始める。工房は山々に囲まれ、、野鳥のさえずりや川のせせらぎ、木々が風に吹かれて奏でる音がすぐ近くに聴こえるような、自然豊かな里山に位置しています。

1999年 東京造形大学彫刻科卒業後、美濃・豊場惺也氏に師事
