Steel Oak Leaf Wall ArtThis Oak Leaf wall art is made by me, Kevin, in my little blacksmith shop in Milverton, ON. Forged out of 11 gauge (~1 8") thick steel. Buffed with a wirewheel and bronzed coloured by heat. Finished with a beeswax finish to help prevent rusting. Feature "keyhole" bracket on back to securely hold it on the wall. It's 7 inches long and about 4 inches wide. This leaf is not dishwasher safe, and should be hand washed

It is made of horseshoe nails and 1090 +2% nickle steel powder

The result is a one-of-a-kind marking tool that not only performs exceptionally well but also makes a beautiful addition to your tool collection

Name so because it looks like a cross sections of a plane wing

The stand is made from a round chunk of steel that had been squeezed in my forging press to create a slight almost apple shape affect

Made out of 1/2 inch rod steel

Both handle and head has been treated with linseed oil

handle length is 15"

It's 7 inches long and about 4 inches wide

The head is also only beveled on one side to leave a nice clean cut and not leave a v groove like others might

I heat them in my forge to a yellow heat and flatting the head over my 100+ year old anvil

The same type of stainless steel used in many kitchen applications
