1990 Fender Japan STS-550 Short Scale Stratocaster (Cosmo Red)Made in Japan in 1990, the STS 550 was a short scale Stratocaster from Fender's "Pro Feel" collection of modern guitars built for players who wanted specs that weren't offered in their "reissue" series. The STS 550 is essentially a Strat that's masquerading as a Mustang. Compact poplar body wearing a glossy "Cosmo Red" finish bolted to a maple neck with a 22 fret rosewood fingerboard (610mm scale length, 39mm nut width), it weighs 3. 4kg's. Loaded

A Japanese made Fernandes bass from the FRB series of the late 80's

Action at the 12th fret is just under 3mm and it plays very nicely with barely any signs of wear to the frets

it seems to have an aftermarket 6-saddle bridge and the original "Deluxe" stamped tuners as previously mentioned

Good overall condition as pictured with only light signs of wear

Restrung recently with flatwounds and plays well with a medium action

Seems to be all original except for some screws

and even the subtlest touches are output with excellent sound balance and clarity
