Alocasia 'Regal Shields' XLAn impressively large leafed plant which deserves a beautiful spot in your home. This variety has particularly dramatic dark green leaves with deep purple undersides. Commonly known as Elephant Ears or Taro, this genus is native to the tropical rainforest of Eastern Australia and Asia. The root system of Alocasia consist of tuberous rhizomes which store a huge amount excess water and nutrients. For this reason, Alocasia are more prone to overwatering
