I was approached by someone in 2021 to do a commission of their son

This meticulous approach creates subtle variations that make every print truly unique

This A4 print is on a Chinese Xuan paper

The print is blue and green largely with a bit of iridescent gold

It will be rolled in a poster tube and protected with acid free tissue paper

I love watching them darting around

The print itself is A5 in size and has been framed professionally

Printed using acrylic lightfast permanent ink

Like a lobster it's much more 3 dimensional than a fish so there is a lot of work to do making sure things don't slip and slide around

I'm lucky enough to have a home studio with a view across the Menai Strait to the Snowdonia Mountain Range

It's a majestic marine specimen and tasty fish too
