Barolo L. Bertolo Vintage 1958I don't know much about this producer, but as a vintage 1958 was a good year for the wines of Barolo. The colour is a little light. Typical blend, Nebbiolo. 73cl bottle Abv 13. 5% Bottle condition, capsule has damaged wax, but the cork is solid. Label good. Wine level base of the neck.

The owner believed he was planting shiraz vines and many years later the vines were correctly identified as Tinta Barocca
but some good wines were made in Penedes
cork a moldy mess…ullage low into the shoulder…
The wine had good intensity and a pleasantly long finish
Robert Parker wrote of this wine "the 1962 has always been a fine Haut Brion"
