1994 Ibanez Japan SR-400 SDGR Soundgear Bass (Blue)

1994 Ibanez Japan SR-400 SDGR Soundgear Bass (Blue)Japanese made in early 1994 (before production moved to Korea), the SR 400 was a modern compact bass with a contoured alder body, maple neck and 24 fret rosewood fingerboard (38mm nut width), it weighs 3. 7kg's. Loaded with a basic PJ pickup loadout controlled by a master tone and two volume controls. Good used condition with a straight neck with an adjustable truss and only basic signs of wear as pictured.

The LEVEL slider on this one was replaced at some point with a pot

the original ML1 BEA was an extension of my younger musical self - I am a huge Nuno Bettencourt fan and the guitar definitely showed that

Gloss black finish on a solid body

it weighs a reasonable 4kg's and plays with a nice slim 60's style neck profile (no volute)

though the company eventually offered rosewood fingerboards on most of its models

but none has stuck around quite like the Gibson SG Standard

the previous owner routed it for a middle pickup (much like the EG-600PB Frampton model introduced a few years later) and it came to us with no hardware or electronics

Loaded with passive PJ pickups controlled by two volume knobs and a master tone

Well used condition as pictured with some patina and wear as pictured and some dings to the body and finish (mainly on the side of the guitar)

22 fret rosewood fingerboard (648mm scale length) with a painted maple neck
