1996 Gibson USA Thunderbird IV Neckthrough Bass (Vintage Brown Sunburst)Made in the USA in 1996, the Thunderbird is one of Gibson's most popular designs. Vintage sunburst finish on a mahogany body with a neckthrough mahogany walnut construction and an ebony fingerboard, it weighs just over 4kg's. Looks to be all original with Gibson branded tuners and pickups along with a black three point bridge system. Good overall condition with basic signs of wear, this one had a neck repair around the headstock at some stage as

frets have light pitting but plenty of life

Maple/walnut neckthrough construction with a 24 fret rosewood fingerboard (820mm scale length)

to roaring lead voices in the bridge

Loaded with three Yamaha Alnico single coils controlled by a five-way pickup selector and push-pull tone pot to reduce the windings of the pickups for a lower gain
