Paul Young Para 15 Bamboo Rod 7'11" 2/2For sale here is a Paul H. Young Parabolic 15 bamboo rod. The rod was built for Hazel Johnson by Paul Young in 1950 and is not serial numbered. Hazel Johnson tied flies for the Paul H. Young Rod Co. for ~ 30 years (and also performed the role of babysitter for Paul Jr. and Jack!) Hazel's son also told me that the great Ted Williams would come in the PHY Rod Co. shop and watch Hazel tie flies. This rod and two others (a Martha Marie made by Bob Summers

The reel can be fished right or left hand retrieve and the click is still strong and works really well

which is nicely blued and adequately strong
