17th century sailor vest brownThe vest is based on 16th17th century originals. Vests of this kind were worn from the Tudor era, at the time of the Spanish Armada, through the War of the Spanish Succession and into the Pirate era. It protected the body from cold weather whilst not limiting the movement of the arms, making it a practical and popular choice amongst labourers and sailors. Crafted from 100% cotton, it is available in the colours black and dark brown.
