Lobster Apron

Lobster ApronTo create this design, I've used one of my Gyotaku prints. The original print was scanned using an A1 scanner to create a file. I've not altered the original print in anyway. The Apron also has my Hanko on it, this is a Japanese stamp of my name. It also has the Welsh for Lobster Cimwch. The apron has self coloured ties and neck loop, it's made of 100% Panama Cotton and is Natural not bleached. The design is digitally printed onto the Apron. The apron

I then roll out a backing paper

Using Chinese paper and acrylic ink

The print is supplied in a white mount with backing board and will be posted flat

The fish eyes are hand painted after printing

blending ancient technique with a contemporary palette

The gold ink catches the light and contrasts beautifully with the matte black

the print is laid flat

onto an A4 sheet of Chinese calligraphy paper using and dark blue and gold ink
